Protein-N-More Sample review
« on: September 05, 2011, 04:37:08 PM »
Hi there,

I received the samples today and I tried the Choc-Berry flavour with my oats and water as per usual.

I have to say it was actually quite nice tasting.  I'm curious to try the mango flavured one tomorrow morning with cold water....

I have a few more to try which are my usual flavours so I can give you a real comparison against my current mix that I use which is Dymatize (choc) and BSN Syntha (banana)

Ok, this morning i tried my usual mix of chocolate and banana with water.

Loved it. Very nice flavour and it mixed really well just by shaking the shaker...i only just bought a tub of banana from my usual store but once I'm close to finishing it I'll be ordering from Protein N More.

Great work with the flavours guys!!

I was going to do the mango flavour but i figure I save that one for a warmer day in melbourne.

Hi guys,
nice to see you like the flavours....
We have had some great feedback so far regarding the Mango. It has become extremely popular in the few months it has been available.
We where considering making it a summer only flavour, however we have had some resistance on that from customers and our resellers who want it all year round....
I will get you guys some of our other flavours this week, choc-coconut, choc-honeycomb and i might even have the pine-splice ready by end of the week.

Thanks heaps.choc-honeycomb sounds awesome.i gave the wpi with bcaa and glutamine a go after training tonight and thought it was a really good blend.real surprised with how easy all the proteins are mixing.i have my protein with water and i hardly have to mix it.ive even ditched the shaker cup and tried mixing just with a spoon in a cup and it worked fine.

Hi Scott,
Not sure if you are aware, however approx 6 months ago, fonterra WPI stock ran dry....they slowed or even stopped production of WPI due to non producing cows. This affected many protein businesses throughout the world....Luckily we where able to find a new supplier rather quickly who had access to many different brands.
We spent the following month trying all the different available brands and came upon the one we are using now. We selected this for many reasons....mixability was far superior to fonterra, Nutritional values and amino acid make up ....again far superior, taste....again.....much better.
In all, we found a product which beats Fonterra hands down, and we will continue with this product even after Fonterra makes a come back....If they ever do, as im told they wont be beck for the rest of this year now also.

non producing cows??? hormones anyone?? ;D

seriously, you have a very good tasting product.

To me is all about the taste and as long as it is low in sugar I'm happy. I never been that concerned with absorption rates, etc etc ...i think that in the real world it doesnt really make a tangible difference to the average weight lifter (if you know what i mean)

Hi Guys,
It seems that while everyone has been wrapped up in Fonterra and there 'world leading' WPI product, some other companies in the world have been upgrading their manufacturing machinery and getting better technology to produce a better product. It took the 'need' to find new suppliers to show people that in fact, there are producers out there that are a lot better than Fonterra....and that dont feel a need to control the industry.
Anyhow, we have worked for a long time on our flavours, and with an inclusion rate of just 5g per kg for all but cocoa flavours (which have 40g) i think we have the most concentrated flavours around, making our flavoured protein the most pure around.
And i think with flavours like Mango, Choc-honeycomb, pine-splice and actually most of our flavours, i think we have the largest range of flavours and some of the most unique.
Thanks for the reviews guys. Let me know if there are any other flavours you would like to try and i will get them out to you.

Great suggestion, however we currently have 12 protein flavours... 4 more on their way for April, which will be launched at the Australian Health and Fitness Expo. At this point, I dont think we will be offering a raspberry splice... at least not in the next 6 months, however anything is possible with protein-n-more. Thanks for your comment mate

I am so sorry I have not reviewed all of your samples, but we moved house and I still have to locate where they have ended up...

As soon as I find them, reviews to follow!
Never argue with an idiot. They bring you down to their level and then beat you with experience.
